Version 7.3.2: Instagram Stories, Post Videos to LinkedIn Profiles and Create X (Twitter) Threads

Share Your Stories on Instagram

You can now post your stories to Instagram with Blog2Social! Either navigate to your WordPress media library to upload it, or head straight to the "Share Video" tab in your dashboard to get started. Select "Share as Story" when posting your video to Instagram. You can post your story right away or schedule it for a later time as you would do with any other video post. Blog2Social will publish your story at your set time.

Please note that if you want to share your video as a story to Instagram, no text is necessary for posting, and will not appear on the video when you post it.

 

Post Videos to LinkedIn Profile

Post videos to your personal LinkedIn profile page! Share engaging videos not only to your LinkedIn business pages but to your profile as well - straight from your Blog2Social dashboard. On X (formerly Twitter) you can share posts exceeding 280 characters as threaded posts, allowing your followers to read your message in its entirety. Easily create and manage your X threads with Blog2Social. To activate this function, select the check box at the bottom of the text field for X in the post preview editor or as a default setting in your post templates for X. Blog2Social will then separate your copy into X posts (of a maximum of 280 characters each) automatically. Optionally, place dividers within the text field to decide where one X post in the thread ends and the next begins, ensuring your message remains coherent.

Version 7.2: New Twitter API, Twitter Threads, New options for autoposting and reposting

Re-connect your Twitter Account with your unique Twitter API key (Premium)

Twitter has implemented new terms of service for all users of social media tools, which include a pricing plan. The latest Blog2Social update allows you to reconnect your Twitter account with the flexibility to choose a Twitter plan that best suits your needs. All that's required is a so-called API key from Twitter, which enables Blog2Social to create a unique connection with your Twitter account.

Twitter Threads (Premium)

Blog2Social allows you to share your tweets with more than 280 characters as Threads, which will display your text in a series of connected Tweets. You can activate Twitter Threads in the Post-Templates for your Twitter post. Your Twitter posts longer than 280 characters will then automatically be published in multiple tweets as a thread.

New options for auto-posting and reposting (Premium)

LinkedIn support: The auto-poster for imported posts now includes LinkedIn so you can maximize your reach.

Repost function: Automatically repost your posts within 24 or 48 hours. Choose the time frame you want (1 time or 2 times) and present your content in the best possible way.

Post templates for imported posts: Now you can create post templates also for imported posts, so you can create a unique look and feel for all your content.

Delay setting: You can optionally set a time delay for the auto-poster and optimize the publishing of your posts.

Re-Poster: The Re-Poster has been improved and now allows you to optionally filter posts by specific tags. Repost only posts that contain specific tags and increase the relevance of your content.

Social Media Metrics (Business)

A frequently requested feature of many Blog2Social users is the option to track and analyze the performance of  the shared social media posts directly in Blog2Social. We have taken your request to heart and proudly pronounce to have just released a beta version of social media metrics.

With the social media metrics, you can analyze the performance of your social media posts and use these social signals to optimize your posting strategy to reach your audience and to get better results for your social media posts.

The beta version of social media metrics can be tested by users with a Business license. After the initial beta phase, the social media metrics module will be available for all users as an add-on to your current license (pricing plans will follow).

More improvements and tweaks:

• Post Templates: For Instagram Business, you can select whether your image should be cropped for the network or whether the image should be shared with a white frame. If you like to share the image with a frame, you can now use a color picker and change the color of the frame.
• Open Graph Tags: The specification of the Open Graph Tags has been extended by the tag "og:image:alt" in order to pass the alt text that was defined for the image. Among other things, this is intended to improve accessibility for the blind. This specification was also adapted for Twitter Cards.
• Filteroptions for your site and blog content: Under the menu item "Site & Blog Content" you can filter your posts according to the network on which they were shared. For this filter, the networks "Instapaper" and "Ravelry" were added.

Twitter thread support (Smart, Pro & Business)

A thread is a series of related tweets that originate from the same person. This way you can provide additional context, an update or a more detailed argument. With the latest update of Blog2Social, you can share a tweet that has more than 280 characters. Above 280 characters, the tweet will be split into a separate text and posted as a reply to the previous tweet (i.e. as a thread).

Optimized social media management: All your social media posts in one place

Managing all your social media content has never been easier with Blog2Social. You can share your WordPress content (posts, pages, and products) as well as create social media posts consisting of links, images, text and videos from other sources (Premium). To make this even easier for you, we have assembled all sharing options in one single dashboard, that you will now find in the Blog2Social menu via “Social Media Posts”.

More improvements and tweaks:

• Save your posts as drafts: When you create a social media post with Blog2Social, you can save it as a draft, including the images and text. With the latest update, the social media networks you select for the post are also saved with your post.
• "Filter by Date" functionality for social media metrics (Business): With Blog2Social you can now try out the social media metrics and track the performance of your social media posts that you have shared with Blog2Social. Under "Social Media Metrics" you can sort the tracked posts by date. For a better selection of the time span, the calendar has been revised.
• Legacy mode: The legacy mode is used to reduce the load on the website server. This way plugins are loaded one after the other. When the legacy mode is activated (under "Settings"), the Open Graph Tags are now automatically deactivated in order to further relieve the website server. The Open Graph tags can be reactivated manually under "Settings -> Social Meta Data".

Important News for your Instagram Personal Account

Instagram no longer supports social media tools for Instagram Personal Profile accounts, just for Business accounts. As an accredited Instagram partner we are obliged to provide the current interface for Instagram Business accounts only. Current connections for Instagram Personal accounts will expire on 2021-06-30. Please note that also scheduled posts for Instagram Personal accounts will be posted only up to this date.

We are sorry for the very short notice and the inconvenience, but we only just received this information. However, we will do anything to help you continue using Blog2Social for Instagram.

To continue using Blog2Social for Instagram you can easily convert your Instagram Personal account into a Business account (see below) and reconnect your Instagram Business account with Blog2Social (all Premium versions). Even if you have a private blog or website, you can use the Instagram Business account to benefit from all new options for your Instagram marketing.

Instagram Business accounts offer a lot more options than Personal Profiles. For example, placing ads or creating an online shop on Instagram.

Post Templates: More options for your Twitter posts (Premium)

With Blog2Social you can share link posts as well as image posts on your Twitter account. The image posts were previously shared with a link on the end of the text. From now, the post template settings also provide you with the option to exclude your links automatically in your Twitter image posts by clicking the check-box.

More improvements and tweaks:

• Notifications: When you share a post on your Facebook profile, the post appears in the tab “Site & Blog Content -> Instant Sharing”. With the new update of Blog2Social, a number will be displayed next to the tab "Instant Sharing" as soon as a new post is ready to be shared. To ensure that communication on Facebook profiles remains at a personal level, Facebook has restricted automatic publication on personal Facebook profiles. So if you want your post to be published now, simply click on "Details -> Share" in the "Instant Sharing" tab. More information in the Instant Sharing guide.
• You can now share full articles in the social networks Medium, Torial, Tumblr, and Bloglovin. The character limit has been increased from 1500 to 20,000.
• Medium: Please note that this social network displays the predefined hashtags as clickable tags at the end of your post.
• Social Networks: Each license has a specified number of accounts you can connect per social network. You can also purchase additional Facebook and LinkedIn sites as well as Facebook groups as add-on to your active Blog2Social Premium Pro or Premium Business license. If you purchased more groups and sites, you will now see an overview of the maximum number of available account connections in the tab “Networks” next to the social network.
• URL shortener: Some social networks do not allow shortlinks, so we deactivated the URL shortener for the affected social networks for your protection. Blog2Social will apply the regular URL for these social platforms. You will find a detailed overview in the URL shortener guide.

XING Employer Branding Profiles (pages) in new design

XING is currently updating the Employer Branding Profiles to a new design. This update will change the URL of the Employer Branding Profiles from https://www.xing.com/companies/ to https://www.xing.com/pages/. XING is offering a transition period until November 30, 2020 for the conversion to the new design. During this time, both profile formats will co-exist. After that date, XING will automatically switch all profiles to the new design. 

To ensure all your data is transferred correctly, XING recommends that you make a manual conversion before November, 30, 2020. In addition to the new design and many technical improvements, the space for posting texts will also increase from 400 to 1,000 characters. We have adapted the post format to all these improvements so you can present your topics and messages in more details with Blog2Social. Don’t wait to convert your XING page to the new design. 

If you already have changed your Employer Branding Profile, reconnect it to the Blog2Social network settings (+ XING page).

For those who have not yet changed over, the existing connections in the network settings will still be active and are marked with "Old design until 11/30/2010". Authorizations that have not been updated in Blog2Social after 11/30/2010 are no longer valid and will be asked to update the authorization.

With the new update version 6.5.5 Blog2Social will be ready to connect to the new XING Employer Profiles that are now available.

Many of you have more than one Twitter profile and asked us for options to share content on multiple Twitter accounts. The Twitter terms of service only allow to share original content on one profile. However, retweets are allowed to cross-share content on multiple accounts. You can now easily share your post across your Twitter accounts with automatic retweets.

Define a network collection with your Twitter profiles to share your content in your Blog2Social Autoposter settings. Then select the Twitter profile for your original content (main Twitter profile). Blog2Social will now automatically retweet your original tweet on all your selected  Twitter profiles in your selected network collection for all your auto-posted content.

Select individual images for your link posts on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or XING with Blog2Social. To change the image for link posts, Blog2Social will automatically set the image you choose as the new Open Graph image tag (og:image) in your blog post meta data.

Open Graph (og) tags are written into the source code of your website. All networks that support the link post format (except Twitter, as it will preferably use Twitter Card tags) will read the same Open Graph tags to display the link preview. If you make any changes to the og tags, these changes will be altered in your source code, which means the changes apply to every network that displays link previews based on og tags.

New Format Options for Post Templates & Post Templates  for XING (Pages & Groups) (Premium Pro)

Just like punctuation, formatting often seems unnecessary in times of text messages and chats. If you try to read a bigger paragraph, however, missing punctuation or formatting, resulting in a so-called wall of text, can make this task unnecessarily difficult.

Update Version 5.6.1: More options to customize your social media post templates

Update your Blog2Social to version 5.6.1 to benefit from the improved setting options for your social media post templates. The new social media post templates allow you to customize the general structure of your social media posts and save your preferred settings as default settings for each network. You can now also define your preferred character limit individually for your variables to optimize the individual structure of your social media posts. 

For defining your character limit settings for a specific social network, click on the “Edit Post Format” Button on the Blog2Social “Networks” panel. 

Define the character limit for the variables “Excerpt” and “Content” individually.

 

Your text will be shortened after the last comma, period, or space character within your character limit.

An “Excerpt” will only be added to your social media post if you have added a manual excerpt in the excerpt editing box of the Gutenberg side menu (document settings) of your post. 

“Titles” and “Hashtags” are not shortened. If you select the “Title” and “Hashtags” variables for your social media posts, the character limit you define for the “Excerpt” and/or “Content” variables will be applied within the remaining available character limit of the social network. 

You can customize your character limit in addition to customizing your post layout for each network.

With Blog2Social 5.5 we make sure that the setup and management of social networks for  multiple  users is easier with the help of shared connection. 

When you share a Blog2Social license with multiple users, you can now assign social media connections to other users to enable these users to manage and post on these network accounts, without each user having to create the network connection themselves. You are able to update and delete the assigned connections as well as select forums (for XING groups) and pinboards (for Pinterest).

This saves time for the setup, while at the same time protecting  persona accounts or accounts with sensible login data as there is no need to share your login data anymore.

XING will no longer support existing APIs to third-party tools, so the current interface will be shut down by 31.03.2019. Therefore, we now introduce a new XING interface to allow you to keep scheduling & sharing your social media post on XING.

As part of recent updates to the Facebook Platform Policies, Facebook introduced significant changes to the APIs that third-party programs, such as social media marketing tools, are using.

Due to Facebook’s API changes, starting on 1st August 2018, access to Personal Facebook Profiles has been severely restricted for all social media tools, so that automated posting on personal Facebook Profiles is no longer allowed with any social media tool or app. However, sharing your posts automatically on your Facebook Pages will still be possible with social media tools. Of course, Blog2Social will continue to support automated posting on Facebook Pages.

Version 4.7 - Twitter terms of service update

Twitter has implied several significant changes to rules and policies for scheduling and sharing and the usage of social media automation tools. By enforcing these new Twitter rules by March 23rd, updating Blog2Social to version 4.7 is required to use Blog2Social in agreement with the new Twitter terms of services (TOS) and benefit from usability add-ons that improve Blog2Social’s user experience.

Twitter terms of service update

In order to prevent malicious activity and spam, Twitter changed their rules restricting users from posting identical or substantially similar content to multiple accounts or multiple duplicate updates on one account.

To make sure that our users are in compliance with the new Twitter policies, we had to apply a couple of adjustments to Blog2Social. However, Blog2Social will provide you with many great features for your Twitter marketing in accordance with the new rules and policies.

• You can still select and connect multiple Twitter accounts to share your blog posts. To prevent duplicate content. Blog2Social now analyzes your Twitter comments to make sure you do not accidentally post the same message across multiple Twitter accounts.
• If you select more than one Twitter account, the first account will still have an automatically generated comment in the comment field, all other comment fields will be empty in order to enable you to vary and customize your Tweets.
• You can now select a primary Twitter account for auto-posting your blog posts and RSS-imported feeds.

Please note that Blog2Social was originally built to provide any means of tailoring social media posts in combination with smart social media automation. Choose a Twitter Card Type

Blog2Social 4.7 enables you to choose the twitter card type for your posts. The information you choose will be written into your blog post’s meta tags.

The Twitter card type defines the appearance of the link preview shown on Twitter.
With the card type “Summary”, your post will be shown on Twitter with a small image, to set the focus on the text:

To select the Twitter card type for all your blog posts, go to Blog2Social -> Settings -> Social Meta Data -> Twitter and select the default card type:

Please note that content is cached by Twitter for 7 days after a link to a page with card markup has been published in a Tweet. This means that it can take up to 7 days until Twitter displays the change.

Define the message content for your Twitter posts

You can now define the message content for the pre-filled Twitter message that will be used for your post preview  and  for auto posting.
You can select to pre-fill your Twitter message with the:

• Title
• Title & Content
• Content only

of your blog post.
If you ticked the box “include Wordpress tags as hashtags in my post”, hashtags will also be added to each message.  

To use this feature, go to Blog2Social -> Settings  -> General.

Usability updates

• You can now see your scheduled posts in the social media calendar directly in your Blog2Social Dashboard
• When enabling the Blog2Social auto poster in your WP post editing screen, you can now view your planned posts in the social media calendar
• You can now enable “legacy mode” in the Blog2Social Settings. In Legacy mode, plugin contents are loaded one after the other (asynchronous loading) to relieve your blog’s hosting server

Post to Facebook Public Groups without admin rights

You can now share your blog posts in Facebook public groups without the need to have admin rights in the respective groups.

To be able to post into a Facebook group, the following two things are important:

1. The group has to be public. You can not post you blog posts to closed and secret groups.
2. You have to be a member of the group to post there.

Select Link Post and Photo Post Formats for Google +

To increase the impressions, interactions, likes and shares on your Google+ postings Blog2Social has now added the option to choose post formats for the Google network.

You can define your preferred custom post format for Google + in your Blog2Social settings by selecting the tab ‘network settings’ and choose to either post a link post or photo post.

Link Posts:
The link post format displays the post title, link address and the first one or two sentences of the post. The biggest advantage of this format is that your followers will be redirected to your website or blog right after clicking on the link preview in your Google+ feed. PLEASE NOTE: To have your preferred image displayed in your Google + link post, make sure you select an image from your blog post image gallery.  

Photo Posts:
A photo or image post displays the image you’ve selected in the Blog2Social preview along with your comment. Blog2Social automatically adds the link to your website to your comment. The main benefit of photo posts is that your image is uploaded to your personal gallery and, thus, generates long-term visibility.

Turn your WP tags into hashtags for more engagement

Blog2Social 4.5 will automatically turn your WordPress tags into hashtags and add them to your comments
in your social media posts for all networks with hashtag-support. You can activate this feature in your Blog2Social settings, ‘General’, By filling your comments with valid hashtags, your social media posts will be turned into searchable content and are easier to find for potential readers.

Setting the Image Format for Instagram (Premium Feature)

Choose your preferred image format for Instagram. In Settings -> Network Settings you will now find a menu tab Instagram. There you can choose between Frame Images and Pictures without Frame.

Selecting Frame Image means that rectangular images will be displayed in landscape format. A white bar will be shown at the top and bottom of the respective images.

With Picture without Frame, rectangular images are cropped at the edges, but have the advantage that your overview looks more consistent. The selection has no influence on the image display in the preview of your posts.

Post to Medium Publications
(Premium Feature)

In addition to your media profile, you can now publish your blog posts in Medium publications. Select your publications directly in the network settings.

Control your Post’s Appearance on Facebook & Twitter by setting Open Graph (OG) and Twitter Card Tags with Blog2Social

Facebook and Twitter have changed their policy for posting link posts via plugins or web applications. The networks no longer display the featured or selected image for your blog post by default, but only images defined in the Open Graph (OG) or Twitter Card Meta Tags of your blog post. If you have not defined any OG or Twitter Card Meta Tags, Facebook and Twitter displays a random image from your blog post or blog site. If you have defined an image in your blog post’s OG or Twitter Card Meta Tags that does not meet the image size requirements of the networks, Facebook will display a random image instead while Twitter will display a white space. Please make sure that your image meets the image size requirements.

With Blog2Social you can select a featured image or any image you select to be displayed with your link post. Blog2Social will automatically write the required parameter in the OG Meta Tags of your blog post, so that your selected image will be displayed with your link post. Changes to Facebook API - July 2017

In July Facebook made several changes to their API interface, affecting posts shared on profiles, pages and groups. One of these changes was, that Facebook supports individually selected images for images post format only. For link posts Facebook will display images set in the "og" (open graph) parameters of the given blog post. If you have set og parameters for your featured image in your blog post, Facebook will display this featured image. Otherwise Facebook will display a random image from your blog.

This change does only affect link post formats, not image post formats. If you share your blog post as image posts, your selected image will be displayed in the shared post on Facebook.
You can select the post format for link posts or image posts as default settings for your networks in the Blog2Social settings.
We will provide a solution to fix this issue with the coming update in August. So with the next update your selected image in Blog2Social will be display on Facebook for link posts as well as image posts.

Keep a better overview when cross-promoting to social media

With version 4.2 we improved the display of your network overview. You can now see all of your connected social media accounts at once. If you have selected specific profiles, pages or groups to run targeted campaigns, you will find the respective network profile next to your accounts.

Users with “editor” role can now share all blog posts : Adapted rights for WP users with the role “Editor”

Previously, only users with admin rights could access and share blog posts of other users. In accordance to WordPress user roles we have adapted the rights for users with the role “Editor” for accessing and sharing posts and pages

Version 4.1.0 released - custom post formats - top up the number of groups

Today, we released the new version of the WordPress plugin Blog2Social. Better social media automation for you! You can select between image post format and link post format for every single social media post and top up your license with additional groups.

Choose the post format for every single post

You can select the post format for your posts on Facebook profiles, pages and groups as well as for your tweets. Select between the image post format and the link post format.

You can set your favorite post format by default in the Settings of Blog2Social. Just click Settings, choose the Network Settings and click on a network to edit the post format.

• You can set the post format to image post format (aka photo post on Facebook or image tweet on Twitter) or link post format (aka link post on Facebook or link tweet on Twitter)
• You can set the post format for sharing on Facebook and Twitter (PREMIUM)
• You can set the post format separately for social media posts you share on Facebook profiles, pages and groups (PREMIUM PRO and BUSINESS)

3. Select the network
4. Edit the network settings and click save

If you want to switch the post format for a single social media post, open the one-page preview editor with a click on Share on Social Media next to each blog post in the list of posts in Posts & Sharing or click Custom Sharing & Scheduling on the WordPress editor page. You find the currently selected post format above each editor field. Click on the selected post format to switch the post format for the respective post.

Top up your PREMIUM license with additional groups

Many bloggers told us that they are happy with the available network connections, but would like to connect another group on Facebook or Google+. 

You now can top up the number of available groups for Facebook and Google+, if you have an active PREMIUM license. 

1. Log in to your account on https://service.blog2social.com
2. Open the tab Licenses
3. Click Purchase Groups below the list of your PREMIUM licenses
4. Select the license and the network from the drop down and purchase

Version 4.0.0 released - Auto-Posting, Image-Selection, Facebook Groups, Custom Post Formats

Today we released the new version 4.0.0 of Blog2Social. This is new:

Free Image Selection

A post's image is one of the most crucial factors for engagement. You can find a lot of recommendations how images should be. All recommendations have in common that you should consider the network and the channel, if applicable.

Now you can select the best image for each of your social media post.
You can select any image from your blog post, individually for each network and channel. And you can select any other image you want from your WordPress media gallery.

1. Click the thumbnail next the posting text in the preview editor
2. Choose the image from the gallery of the post images
3. Or click "Select & upload an image from your media gallery"

Select the Post Format for Your Posts
Sometimes you want to post with focus on the link to your post and sometimes you want to focus on an image. Maybe, you want to store a specific image in the network's media gallery.
Blog2Social gives you the choice.
You might already recognized the network settings for Facebook. With the new release you also have the choice for Twitter. And you can access the network settings for Facebook and Twitter directly from the preview editor.

Post on Any Facebook Group You're Member of
Many users gave us the feedback that posting on Facebook groups is a big asset. But, at the same time they said that it would be even better, if they could post on every Facebook group they're member of. Okay, task fulfilled. You can connect every Facebook group, you're member of.
Click "+Group" in the network settings, log in to your Facebook profile and select the desired group from the drop-down.

Detailed Presets for Auto-Posting and (Auto-) Scheduling
Blog2Social offers a comprehensive solution for auto-posting and auto-scheduling. You can now preset, which kind of content you want to auto-post. Activate or deactivate auto-posting by default for each single kind of content: posts, pages or any custom post type. And differentiate between new and updated pieces of content. To edit the presets, open the settings from the left-hand Blog2Social menu. Check or uncheck the respective kind of content.

You can also select your time zone to avoid to re-calculate of the time for scheduling. It's sometimes tedious to schedule, if you work in an international environment. Suppose, the default time zone of your WordPress is set to UST and your local time zone is CET. Scheduling might become complicate. Set your local time zone in the settings and Blog2Social will re-calculate your scheduled times.

Earn cash easier with Blog2Social
It's easy to become an affiliate. But for most user it's harder to share and distribute the affiliate link and to generate sales. Now you define a constant in the wp-config.php.

Reddit  is worldwide one of the most popular networks for content sharing. You canshare your content in different Sub-Reddits and the reader will rate it. Depending on the ratings your content will be displayed in the Reddit.

With the Blog2Social Update 3.1.2. We have received the feedback that the shared and scheduled post page are not displayed. This has now been solved with the update 3.1.3.

If you do not see any posts in shared or planned posts, please update Blog2Social to the latest version 3.1.3.

Version 3.1.2 released

Our today's release improves the Blog2Social Auto-Poster.

You'll now able to auto-post at the individually defined best times. This is one more step to give you the freedom to plan and schedule your communication at any time. 

To use the Auto-Poster for scheduled posting just follow these steps:

1. Check "enable Auto-Posting" in the editor view fo your blog post
2. Select the network profile you want to post to
3. Select "schedule post once" beneath
4. Adjust the posting time

Blog2Social will auto-post your blog post at the selected time. 

Alternatively you can check "allow for My Best Time Settings" to use your individually adjusted preferred times to post. If you schedule for the same day Blog2Social will look up whether the best times are already passed for the day and automatically schedule for the day after that day.

Better overview about your scheduled post

If you're really active in social media and have many social media posts scheduled in Blog2Social day by day, it might be hard to get a sufficient overview about your schedule.
With the today's release Blog2Social gives you the choice to switch between the list view you're used to and a calendar view.

Once again the Best Time Manager
Blog2Social now recognizes the publishing date of your blog post and schedules the times to share on social media aligned with the Best Time Scheduler. If a time set in the Best Time Manager is already passed the time you publish the post the social media post for the referring social network will be scheduled at best time at the day after.

Improved recurrent scheduling
You now can schedule post recurringly with any date in the future. Let's say you want to post an evergreen content about winter travelling recurringly and it's August. Just set up the scheduling plan and select for instance November, 1st to start the schedule.

What more?
Depending on the license version you've purchased you are able to connect a different number of profiles, pages and groups per network in total. Blog2Social shows you the exact number of possible connections per network.

XING currently provides 84,301 special interest and regional communities to connect with colleagues, fellows and target groups. Blog2Social makes it easy for you to share your blog posts on your personal XING profile, as well as on company pages and in your XING communities.

Business networks such as XING and LinkedIn offer a variety of options to publish your content and promote yourself. In order to provide more publishing options, we enhanced the interface for XING on Blog2Social today

Due to data security the existing authorization for XING was not transferred to the new interface. Please re-authorize on the "Networks" page in Blog2Social before sharing your next post.

Wrong scheduling? Bulk-delete for scheduled posts

You're now able to bulk delete scheduled posts, if you made a mistake while scheduling your posts.

1. Open your scheduled posts in "Posts & Sharing"
2. Check the scheduled posts you want to delete
3. Click "delete scheduling"
4. Confirm delete in the confirmation box

Image post or link post on Facebook

Facebook offers different options for sharing an image or a link. Blog2Social now enables you to decide, how to post.

• Image posts focus on the image that is displayed above the text. The text itself is more an suffix of the image.
• In a link post your image will be displayed smaller with text above and below the image.

Open the "Settings" and select "Network Settings". Choose the post desired format.

There is more to discover:

• Optimized WYSIWYG or HTML editor for the blog networks Medium, Tumblr and Torial. We optimized the line-heights and the display of the image.
• Scheduled posts will now be displayed in order of the publishing date.
• You now have more filter opportunities in your post overview. Filter for post types, categories + keywords and for the publishing status.

Changes in Google+ coding

Update 11/24/16: We have successfully adapted our API to Google+. You can now post to Google+ the way you are used to. The posts link, your customized text and the image you have chosen will all be published in your social media post.

Changes in the Google+ coding momentarily prevent a smooth functioning of our API (application programming interface) since 11/23/16.
