With a premium version of Blog2Social, you can automatically publish your blog posts with the auto-posting feature on  your social media. In addition, you can automatically post blog posts imported via RSS feeds and plugins to Facebook, Twitter and Google My Business (staring with Premium Pro).

Blog2Social distinguishes between two types of auto-posting.

  1. Share blog posts via Auto-Poster: Your own blog posts will be shared fully automated on your social media channels as soon as you publish or update a new post.
  2. Share imported posts via Auto-Poster: Posts that you import via RSS feeds and plugins are shared fully automatically on your social media channels.

How to share your own blog posts with the Auto-poster

If you want to automatically share your blog posts and pages to your social media accounts whenever you publish or edit a blog post, you can use the Auto-Poster. This applies both to blog posts that you publish immediately and to blog posts that you schedule for a specific date after completion.

Please note:

  • Your own posts are the posts that you have written in your WordPress backend and for which the Auto-Poster has been activated.
  • Every user licensed for Blog2Social Premium can use the auto-poster feature for his own posts.
  • You can also auto-post the posts of other authors by opening the posts and activating the auto-poster feature and then reschedule or update the post. In the Auto-Poster settings, you can set whether you only want newly published blog posts or also updates for the blog posts. Please note that if you set the auto-poster setting to "Update", the posts will also be automatically posted again if you only make small changes or corrections to the text.

On these networks, you can auto-post your own blog post

With the Auto-Poster you can share your own blog posts on Facebook, Twitter (1 profile), Instagram, Pinterest, Google My Business, LinkedIn, XING (except groups), VKontakte, Bloglovin, Tumblr, Medium, Torial, Flickr, Diigo, and Reddit.

Please note:

  • Twitter: Due to the new guidelines and cross-posting terms of Twitter, users are no longer allowed to post identical or substantially similar content to multiple accounts or multiple duplicate updates on one account. The "Customize & Schedule" feature allows you to publish your posts on several Twitter accounts at the same time by varying the comment texts.
  • Facebook profiles: Due to Facebook's new API guidelines, auto-posting on Facebook Profiles is no longer allowed with any social media tool or app. With Facebook Instant Sharing, you can still share with Blog2Social on your Facebook Profile. Auto-posts for Facebook Profiles are saved in the "Instant Sharing" tab in your navigation bar under "Posts & Sharing" and can be sent to your Facebook Profile by clicking the "Share" button next to the post

How to set up the Auto-Poster for your own blog post

You find your Auto-Poster settings under Blog2Social>Settings. Select the menu item "Auto-Posting".

You can manage the automatic publication of your blog posts or pages by default under  "Auto-post your own created posts".

How to activate the Auto-Poster for sharing your own blog posts and pages on social media

There are four ways to share your blog posts and pages on social media via Auto-Poster:

Share your blog posts and pages immediately after publication

To share a blog post or a page immediately after publication, open the post or page editor of that post in your WordPress backend and scroll the right menu bar to "Social Media Auto-Posting".

Then select the box next to "enable Auto-Posting" to make the other options visible.

  1. Select your network collection.
  2. Select one Twitter Profile.
  3. Select “immediately after publishing”.

If you publish your blog post afterwards, it will automatically be shared with the Auto-Poster on your selected accounts.

Share your blog posts and pages at a later time

To share a blog post or a page at a later time, open the post or page editor of that post in your WordPress backend and scroll the right menu bar to "Social Media Auto-Posting".

Then select the box next to "enable Auto-Posting" to make the other options visible.

  1. Select your network collection.
  2. Select one Twitter Profile.
  3. Select “at scheduled times”.

You can specify the exact date and time in the input field below. Click on the field below the calendar symbol.

If you are happy with your settings, click on "Publish" and your post will be automatically shared with the Auto-Poster on your selected accounts at your selected time.

Share your blog posts and pages at your best times

You can manage your "best times" in the network selection. To share a blog post or a page at your best times, go to the post or page editor of that post in your WordPress backend and scroll the right menu bar to "Social Media Auto-Posting".

Then select the box next to "enable Auto-Posting" to make the other options visible.

  1. Select your network collection.
  2. Select one Twitter Profile.
  3. Select “schedule (best times)”.

Please note:

If you have not specified your own times, Blog2Social automatically provides you with the best times to post on the social networks. You can always edit your own times by clicking on “best times”.

If you are happy with your settings, click on "Publish" to share your blog post.

Share your already published blog posts and pages when updating

You can activate the Auto-Poster also for already published blog posts or pages.

If you update already published blog posts or pages for which you have activated the Auto-Poster in the post editor, the post will be shared again with each update.

Please note:

A post or a page that you have edited will be published again with each update as long as the field "enable Auto-Posting" is selected.
