Sharing Imported Posts with the Auto-Poster - Things to check for Troubleshooting

With the Blog2Social Auto-Poster you can share your imported posts (posts created with another plugin or from a RSS feed) automatically across multiple social media accounts. If you encounter any issues while setting up or using the auto-poster, the following checklist will help you review the necessary settings.

Auto-Poster Settings

You will find the Auto-Post settings by clicking on "Social Media Posts" -> "Auto-Post" in Blog2Social.

Here you can adjust your settings. If there are multiple authors or WordPress users on your website that create your posts, please check the steps under "Settings of other Users" in this guide as well.

Please note: If you want to share imported posts, ensure that the plugin creating your posts uses the "transition_post_status" hook. This allows Blog2Social to detect new posts and share them automatically.

Supported Social Media Networks

With the Blog2Social Auto-Poster for Imported Posts you can share imported posts, created with another plugin or from a RSS feed, automatically on the following social media networks:

• Facebook
• Google My Business
• Telegram
• LinkedIn
• X (Twitter)

Settings of other Users

Blog2Social works WordPress user based. Social Media connections and Blog2Social settings are not shared between users. Therefore, please be so kind as to make sure that every WordPress user who likes to share imported posts automatically 

1) is activated for Blog2Social Premium (How do I activate my license key?)
2) has the social media accounts connected (Blog2Social -> "Networks")
3) has set up the auto-poster

Notifications

If your post could not be shared, you will find it in Blog2Social under "Social Media Posts" -> "Notifications". Click on "Details" to check for any notifications explaining why the network was unable to process the post.
Why are my posts not being shared?

Post Limit

Depending on the Blog2Social Premium version (Smart, Pro, or Business) you are using, there are different limits for the auto-poster for imported posts.

• Smart = 25 social media posts per user & day
• Pro = 50 social media posts per user & day
• Business = 100 social media posts per user & day

System Requirements

To ensure that the social networks can access the post information on your website at the time the Auto-Poster is triggered to send your post, it is important that your website meets the system requirements so that Blog2Social can work properly.  The following guide will help you to check the system requirements:

Please modify your website settings if necessary.

Page Speed

Blog2Social shares your posts automatically. Therefore,  a constant connection between Blog2Social and your website is important. This connection is influenced by the performance of your website. You can check the performance with the Page Speed Insights Tool here: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ 

Please check the performance together with your admin or hoster and perhaps get a more performant webpack.
